Ssafpak aids helicopter fuelling operations

Stanhope-Seta’s SSAFPAK has recently been used to support General Aviation helicopter fuelling operations on board the latest generation of Super Yacht. The Aviation Fuel Contamination Test Kit provides rapid go/no go testing for remote checks on fuel quality control which is vital for safe flight operations.

Aviation Fuel often has a lengthy journey from a refinery to aircraft tank, which can involve time in storage and transfer using a variety of transportation methods. At each transfer there is a potential for contamination to occur, which can include particulate, water, cross contamination with other petroleum products, and in some climatic conditions microbial growth.

By the critical nature of the product high levels of quality control are essential throughout the distribution network. The SSAFPAK’s six key tests can quickly provide a go/no-go decision on aviation fuel quality including: Flash Point, Density, Conductivity, Water Content, and Microbial Activity. All tests comply with DEF STAN91-91 and IATA recommendations.

The kit is ideally suited for use in a wide range of locations to support fuelling and inspection operations at major international, regional and general aviation airports, and storage/terminal facilities.
